Synopsis – What to Expect from “Firehouse Dog”
Firehouse Dog is a 2007 family adventure comedy about a Hollywood stunt dog who gets separated from his owner and ends up in a small town firehouse. Rex, the Hollywood stunt dog, is the top dog in the movie business, but he gets separated from his owner, Shane Fahey, during a stunt gone wrong. After being lost for days, Rex is found by a young boy named Connor. The two quickly become friends, and Connor takes Rex to the local firehouse, where he is welcomed with open arms.
At the firehouse, Connor and Rex quickly become the life of the party. Rex helps the firefighters save a cat from a tree, and soon the entire town is talking about the heroic Firehouse Dog. However, Shane Fahey, Rex’s owner, is still looking for him. When Shane finally finds Rex, he is determined to take him back to Hollywood.
Connor and the firefighters are determined to keep Rex in their small town, and they devise a plan to convince Shane to stay. They invite Shane to a benefit dinner, where they showcase all the heroic acts Rex has done for the town. Shane is moved by the townspeople’s devotion to Rex, and decides to stay in town and work as a stuntman.
With Shane staying in town, Rex is able to continue his heroic acts of bravery and loyalty. He helps the firefighters save a family from a burning building, and even helps them put out a massive forest fire.
