Synopsis/Plot
Fire and Ice is a 1983 animated fantasy adventure film directed by Ralph Bakshi and co-directed by Frank Frazetta. The movie is based on the work of fantasy artist Frank Frazetta and stars the voices of Mark Hamill, Randy Norton, Steve Sandor, Cynthia Leake, and Sean Hannon.
The story follows the adventures of two young heroes, Larn and Teegra, as they battle against the forces of evil in a post-apocalyptic world. The evil ruler, Nekron, has created a perpetual winter in order to enslave the people of the world. Larn and Teegra must join forces with the forces of good to stop Nekron and restore balance to the world.
The animation of the movie is impressive, featuring a combination of traditional cel animation and rotoscope animation. The rotoscope animation was used to create the realistic movement of the characters and the backgrounds. The art style is inspired by the work of Frazetta, with its vibrant colors and detailed backgrounds.
The music for the movie was composed by Basil Poledouris and features a mix of orchestral and synthesized music.
