Synopsis/Plot
Finders Keepers is a 2017 documentary film directed by Bryan Carberry and Clay Tweel. The film follows the story of John Wood, a man who discovers a mummified human leg in a grill he purchased at an auction. After the leg is identified as belonging to Shannon Whisnant, a local man, a legal battle ensues over the rightful ownership of the leg.
The documentary follows the two men as they battle for ownership of the leg, with both men claiming that they have the right to keep it. Wood, a passionate collector, believes that he has the right to keep the leg since he purchased it at the auction. Whisnant, on the other hand, believes that the leg rightfully belongs to him since it was a part of his body.
The film delves into the lives of both men, exploring their motivations for wanting to keep the leg. While Wood is driven by a passion for collecting, Whisnant is driven by a need to reclaim a part of his body that was taken from him.
The film also explores the lives of those around the two men, from their families to the media. Through interviews with family and friends, the film paints a picture of the two men’s lives
