Synopsis/Plot
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within is a 2001 science fiction film directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi and starring Ming-Na Wen, Alec Baldwin, and Ving Rhames. The film is set in the future, where the Earth is being attacked by alien creatures known as Phantoms. A group of scientists, led by Aki Ross (Ming-Na Wen) and Doctor Sid (Alec Baldwin), are trying to find a way to save the planet from the Phantoms.
The movie follows Aki and her team as they travel the world searching for eight spirits that can protect the planet from the Phantoms. Along the way, they must battle the military, who are trying to destroy the Phantoms with a powerful weapon called Zeus. As Aki and her team get closer to finding the eight spirits, they discover a greater mystery that could save the planet from destruction.
