Synopsis/Plot
Fighting with My Family is a 2019 sports comedy-drama film written and directed by Stephen Merchant. The film follows the story of Saraya-Jade Bevis (Florence Pugh), a young girl from Norwich, England, who dreams of becoming a professional wrestler. Saraya and her brother Zak (Jack Lowden) are both passionate about wrestling, and they both make it into the WWE tryouts. However, only Saraya is chosen to join the WWE, and she has to leave her family and small-town life behind to pursue her dream.
The film follows Saraya’s journey as she embarks on a new life in America with the WWE, where she is trained by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and meets a variety of colorful characters. As she struggles to make a name for herself in the world of professional wrestling, Saraya must also learn to balance her newfound fame with her family and the expectations of her hometown.
