Synopsis/Plot
Femme Fatale is a 2002 erotic thriller written and directed by Brian De Palma. The film follows Laure Ash (Rebecca Romijn), a seductive and mysterious thief who goes to great lengths to get what she wants. After stealing a valuable diamond from a high-profile jewelry store in Paris, she is pursued by a team of criminals and a mysterious photographer (Antonio Banderas).
Laure flees to Los Angeles, where she meets a former lover (Peter Coyote) and starts a new life as a fashion designer. However, her past catches up with her when she is blackmailed into stealing a priceless painting from a wealthy businessman (Riccardo Scamarcio). In order to pull off the heist, she must enlist the help of a con artist (Eriq Ebouaney) and a mysterious photographer (Banderas).
The film follows Laure as she navigates a complex web of deceit, double-crossing, and seduction. With its stylish visuals and suspenseful plot, Femme Fatale is a thrilling and provocative exploration of the power of deception.
