Synopsis – What to Expect from “Female Fight Squad”
Female Fight Squad tells the story of a former MMA champion, Riley (Michelle Rodriguez) who is released from prison after serving time for a crime she didn’t commit. Now, she is determined to get her life back on track and reclaim her title.
Riley soon discovers that her old rival, Selina (Sigourney Weaver), has taken over the MMA world and is using her influence to keep Riley down. When Riley’s trainer, Tony (Tony Shalhoub), is killed in a suspicious accident, Riley takes it upon herself to find out what really happened and take down Selina.
Riley assembles a team of female fighters to help her take down Selina and her crew. Along the way, they face off against some of the toughest fighters in the world, including a former champion (Bridget Regan) and a mysterious fighter (Alanna Ubach).
Riley and her team must use all of their skill and courage to battle their way to the top and reclaim Riley’s title. Along the way, they learn the importance of friendship and sisterhood while discovering that sometimes the most difficult battles are the ones we fight for ourselves.
