Synopsis – What to Expect from “Feast of Love”
Feast of Love follows the lives of a group of people living in Portland, Oregon, as they search for love and happiness in their lives. The story centers on Bradley (Greg Kinnear), a local college professor who is struggling to cope with the recent divorce from his wife. He finds solace in the company of his friends, Harry (Morgan Freeman) and his wife Esther (Jane Alexander), and their daughter Chloe (Alexa Davalos).
Chloe is in an on-again-off-again relationship with a fellow student, David (Toby Hemingway). She is also pursued by a mysterious stranger, Oscar (Selma Blair), who is searching for true love. Meanwhile, Bradley’s neighbor, Kathryn (Radha Mitchell), is in a loveless marriage with her husband, Roger (Billy Burke).
As the story progresses, Bradley and Kathryn’s paths cross and they become close friends. Bradley helps Kathryn to find the courage to leave her unhappy marriage and pursue her dreams. At the same time, Bradley and Kathryn’s relationship begins to blossom, and they eventually fall in love.
The story is set against a backdrop of other characters, including a young couple, Diana (Stana Katic) and her boyfriend, Oscar, as well as a group of eccentric characters who frequent a local bar. As the film progresses, the characters’ paths cross and intertwine as they search for love and happiness in their lives.
