Synopsis/Plot
Falling Down is a 1993 crime drama film starring Michael Douglas as William “D-Fens” Foster, a divorced and unemployed former defense engineer. D-Fens is stuck in a traffic jam in Los Angeles on one of the hottest days of the year, and his frustration and anger gradually build as he is unable to get out of the traffic. After a series of unfortunate events, D-Fens snaps and embarks on a journey of violent retribution against the various people and institutions he believes have wronged him. Along the way, he meets a young girl who helps him to confront his own inner demons and find a way to peace.
The film follows D-Fens on his journey of self-discovery and redemption. As he encounters a variety of people and situations, he is forced to confront his own prejudices and his own issues of self-worth. He also must confront the reality of the world in which he lives, and the consequences of his own actions.
