Synopsis/Plot
Extinction is a science fiction action thriller film directed by Ben Young and starring Michael Peña, Lizzy Caplan, and Mike Colter. The film follows a father, Peter (Michael Peña), who is struggling to protect his family from an alien invasion.
The story begins with Peter, a successful engineer, and his family living a peaceful life in a small suburban town. One day, strange and unexplainable phenomena begin occurring. Peter soon discovers that the town is under attack by aliens who have the ability to take control of people’s minds and turn them into their own puppets.
Peter must fight to protect his family and the town from the alien threat. He is aided by a mysterious woman named Alice (Lizzy Caplan) who reveals that she is part of a secret organization that is trying to fight the aliens. With her help, Peter is able to uncover the aliens’ plan and devise a plan to save the town.
The film features intense action sequences as Peter and Alice battle the aliens and their puppets. In the end, Peter is able to save his family and the town, but not without great cost.
