Synopsis/Plot
Evan Almighty is a 2007 comedy film directed by Tom Shadyac and starring Steve Carell, Morgan Freeman, and Lauren Graham. The movie is a sequel to the 2003 film Bruce Almighty and follows Evan Baxter, a former Congressman who is now a news anchor. After receiving a message from God, Evan is instructed to build an ark in preparation for a great flood. Initially, Evan is skeptical, but soon finds himself in over his head as he struggles to build the ark while dealing with his family and his career. As the flood draws near, Evan must find the courage to face his fears and complete the task that God has given him.
