Synopsis/Plot
End of Days is a 1999 American supernatural action horror thriller film directed by Peter Hyams and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gabriel Byrne, Robin Tunney, Kevin Pollak, Rod Steiger, and CCH Pounder. The film follows a former New York City police officer who is chosen by the Devil to be his “chosen one” and must protect a woman from the Devil’s minions who are intent on possessing her and bringing about the Apocalypse.
The story begins on December 31, 1999 as the world is about to enter the year 2000. Jericho Cane (Schwarzenegger) is a former police officer who has become a security specialist, but is haunted by the death of his wife and daughter in a violent incident. On this fateful day, he is hired to protect a young woman named Christine York (Tunney) from a mysterious group of men who are intent on possessing her. As Jericho begins to investigate, he discovers that the men are actually the minions of Satan, who has chosen Christine as his bride and intends to use her to bring about the end of days.
