Synopsis – What to Expect from “Emelie”
Emelie is a 2016 horror film directed by Michael Thelin. The film follows the Thompson family as they hire a new babysitter, Anna, to watch their three children while they go out for the evening.
At first, Anna seems like the perfect babysitter. She is friendly and attentive to the children, and they all seem to like her. As the night progresses, however, strange things start to happen. Anna’s behaviour becomes increasingly erratic and disturbing. She begins to play strange and dangerous games with the children, and her true intentions become clear.
Anna is actually not the babysitter they hired; she is an imposter. Her real name is Emelie and she is a disturbed young woman with a history of mental illness. She has come to the Thompson house to exact revenge on the family for something that happened in her past.
As the night progresses, Emelie’s true intentions become more and more clear. She begins to terrorize the children, forcing them to play her twisted games and threatening them with violence. She also begins to damage the house and the family’s belongings.
The Thompson family soon realizes what is happening and they desperately try to find a way to stop Emelie and save their children. They must find a way to outsmart her and escape her clutches before it is too late.
The film is a suspenseful, thrilling ride as the family must fight to save themselves from the clutches
