Synopsis/Plot
Dungeons & Dragons is a 2000 fantasy-adventure film directed by Courtney Solomon and based on the popular role-playing game of the same name. The film follows a group of adventurers who embark on a quest to save the kingdom of Izmer from an evil sorcerer.
The story begins in the city of Izmer, where the mage Profion (Jeremy Irons) is attempting to take control of the kingdom by overthrowing the Grand Council, led by Empress Savina (Thora Birch). To do this, he needs to obtain the magical Rod of Savrille, which is currently in the possession of the Empress. To get it, he sends his henchmen to capture her daughter, Princess Savina (Marlon Wayans).
Meanwhile, a group of young adventurers, led by Ridley (Justin Whalin) and Snails (Marlon Wayans) are recruited by the Empress to rescue the princess and retrieve the Rod of Savrille. Along the way, they must battle an array of monsters and magical creatures, including dragons, orcs, and goblins.
