Synopsis – What to Expect from “Drift”
Drift is a 2013 Australian drama film directed by Ben Nott and Morgan O’Neill. The film follows two brothers, Andy and Jimmy, who live in a small coastal town in Australia.
Andy and Jimmy have been living with their father since their mother died. Their father is an alcoholic and is struggling to make ends meet. The brothers are struggling to make their own way in life, and when a chance to make money comes up, they take it. They start a business selling surf boards and drift boards, and soon become successful.
However, their success comes at a cost. Their father’s drinking gets worse, and the brothers find themselves in a difficult situation. Andy is torn between his loyalty to his father and his desire to make it on his own.
The brothers soon find themselves in a battle with a rival gang of surfers, and they must fight to protect their business and their family. The brothers also have to deal with their own issues, such as their father’s drinking, and their own feelings for each other.
The film follows the brothers as they struggle to make their own way in life, and to protect their family. It is an emotional and powerful story about the bond between brothers, and the power of family.
