Synopsis – What to Expect from “Dread”
Dread is a horror film released in 2009 and directed by Anthony DiBlasi. It follows the story of three college students, Quaid, Stephen, and Cheryl, who are assigned to write a research paper on fear. As part of their research, they decide to interview three people who have experienced fear in its most extreme form.
The first person they interview is a woman who was brutally attacked and left for dead in an alley. She recounts her horrifying experience and the fear she felt in the moment. The second person is a man who was kidnapped and tortured for days before being released. He tells the students of the terror he endured and the psychological damage it caused him. The third person is a serial killer who talks about his victims and the fear he instilled in them.
Through their interviews, the students come to understand fear on a deeper level. As they delve further into their research, they uncover a dark secret that one of their subjects is trying to hide. This leads them down a path of terror and dread as they are forced to confront their own fears and the evil that lurks in the shadows.
The story culminates in an intense and terrifying climax as the students must face the consequences of their actions and the darkness that has been unleashed. In the end, they must find the courage to stand up to their fears and confront the horror they have uncovered.
