Synopsis/Plot

DragonHeart is a 1996 fantasy adventure film directed by Rob Cohen and starring Dennis Quaid, Sean Connery, and David Thewlis. The film follows a dragon-slaying knight, Bowen (Quaid), who teams up with a dragon, Draco (Connery), to defeat a tyrannical king.

The story begins with a young Bowen, a knight in training, who is sent by his mentor, Gilbert of Glastonbury, to slay a dragon that is terrorizing a local village. Bowen succeeds in killing the dragon, but is distraught when he discovers it is the last dragon in the kingdom. He is then visited by Draco, the dragon’s last surviving offspring, who offers Bowen a chance to make amends by forming a partnership with him. Draco is able to take the form of a human, and together, they set out to overthrow the tyrannical King Einon, who has been corrupted by an evil sorcerer.

Bowen and Draco face many challenges on their quest, including a powerful dragon-slaying machine created by Einon’s sorcerer, and a vicious dragon-hunting knight, Brok. Along the way, they make allies with a group of rebels, and Bowen learns the
