Synopsis – What to Expect from “Draft Day”
Draft Day is the story of Sonny Weaver Jr., the general manager of the Cleveland Browns. He is under immense pressure to rebuild the team’s roster and make it successful.
The story starts on the day of the NFL Draft, the most important day in the life of a football team. With the first pick in the draft, Sonny has to make a decision that will shape the future of the team. He is torn between selecting running back Ray Jennings, who is the clear favorite, or quarterback Bo Callahan, who has the potential to be the greatest of all time.
At the same time, Sonny is dealing with the death of his father, who was the former head coach of the Browns. He is also dealing with the return of his ex-girlfriend Ali, who is now the owner of the team. Ali is pressuring Sonny to make the right decision and make the team successful.
