Synopsis – What to Expect from “Dolan’s Cadillac”
Dolan’s Cadillac is a 2009 American neo-noir thriller film directed by Jeff Beesley and starring Christian Slater and Emmanuelle Vaugier.
The movie follows Robert Dolan (Christian Slater), a high school teacher who has recently moved to Las Vegas with his wife, Ellen (Emmanuelle Vaugier). While teaching at a local school, Robert discovers that his wife has been murdered by a local crime boss, Jimmy Dolan (Wes Bentley). Enraged, Robert decides to take revenge on Dolan by plotting to steal his prized Cadillac.
Robert meets up with a group of men, all of whom have their own reasons for wanting to help him. Together, they hatch a plan to steal the car from Dolan’s heavily guarded compound. After a few failed attempts, they eventually succeed in getting the car and driving away.
However, Dolan is hot on their trail and soon catches up with them. In a climactic showdown, Robert and his gang must fight off Dolan and his goons in order to escape with the car. Eventually, Robert and his gang manage to escape, but not before Dolan has been severely injured.
The movie ends with Robert and his gang driving away in the Cadillac, having successfully completed their mission. Robert returns to his hometown, where he is reunited with his wife’s family. He finally has closure and can move on with his life.
