Synopsis/Plot
Déjà Vu is a 2006 science fiction action thriller film directed by Tony Scott and starring Denzel Washington, Val Kilmer, Paula Patton, and Jim Caviezel. The story follows Doug Carlin, an ATF agent investigating a devastating terrorist attack in New Orleans. Through a government experiment, Carlin discovers he can travel back in time four days to prevent the attack.
The film begins with a massive explosion on a New Orleans ferry that kills hundreds of people. Doug Carlin (Denzel Washington) is an ATF agent assigned to the investigation. As the investigation progresses, he discovers evidence that leads him to suspect that the attack was orchestrated by a terrorist group.
Carlin is then recruited by a government agency led by Dr. Kiefer (Val Kilmer). The agency is conducting an experiment using a device called a “time window” that allows them to observe the past four days. Carlin is sent back in time to prevent the attack by finding the terrorist before he can carry out the attack.
