Synopsis – What to Expect from “Dirty Work”
Dirty Work is a 1998 comedy film starring Norm Macdonald, Jack Warden, and Artie Lange. The story centers around two lifelong friends, Mitch (Macdonald) and Sam (Lange). After being fired from their jobs, they decide to start a revenge-for-hire business.
Mitch and Sam quickly find themselves in over their heads when they are hired by a rich old man to sabotage the construction of a mall that is being built on his land. The two friends must use their wits and ingenuity to get the job done.
Meanwhile, Mitch’s father, Chuck (Warden), is trying to get his son to go back to school and get a real job. Chuck is also trying to keep Mitch away from his new girlfriend, who is a stripper.
The two friends soon find themselves in a precarious situation as they are pursued by the police and a group of mobsters. With the help of Chuck and the stripper, they manage to get the job done and get away with their lives.
In the end, Mitch and Sam realize that they are better off being friends than being in business together. They decide to part ways and go back to their old jobs. However, they still have the satisfaction of having done a “dirty job” and succeeding.
