Synopsis/Plot
Detention is a 2011 horror-comedy film directed by Joseph Kahn and starring Josh Hutcherson, Shanley Caswell, Spencer Locke, and Dane Cook. The film follows a group of high school students who are sent to Saturday detention and discover that the school may be haunted by a vengeful spirit.
The film begins with a group of high school students being sent to Saturday detention for various misdemeanors. As they settle in, they soon realize that the school is haunted by a vengeful spirit, Cinderhella, who was a student who was killed in a school fire decades earlier. Cinderhella is determined to seek revenge on the students and kills anyone who gets in her way.
The students, led by Hutcherson’s character, Clapton Davis, must find a way to survive the night and escape the school before Cinderhella kills them all. Along the way, they discover the secret of Cinderhella’s past and the truth behind the school’s dark history.
