Deliver Us from Evil is a 2006 drama film directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Eric Bana, Edgar Ramirez, and Olivia Munn.
The film follows the story of NYPD sergeant, Ralph Sarchie (Bana), who is a hardened cop with a troubled past. After a series of strange occurrences in the Bronx, Sarchie begins to suspect that these events are linked to a series of demonic possessions. With the help of a renegade priest (Ramirez), Sarchie must confront his own demons and battle the forces of evil to save his city.
The film starts with Sarchie investigating a series of strange occurrences in the Bronx. He soon discovers that the incidents are linked to a series of demonic possessions. When the priest he consults is unable to help, Sarchie takes matters into his own hands and begins to investigate the case.
Sarchie soon discovers that the source of the demonic possession is a powerful demon known as “The Eater of Souls”. He and the priest team up to confront the demon and save the city from its evil. Along the way, Sarchie must confront his own inner demons and find the courage to fight the forces of evil.
At the climax of the film, Sarchie and the priest battle the Eater of Souls in a thrilling showdown. In the end, Sarchie is able to save the city and free it from the forces of evil.
