Synopsis – What to Expect from “Deceived”
Deceived is a psychological thriller starring Goldie Hawn and John Heard.
The film follows the story of Adrienne Saunders (Hawn), a successful painter living in New York City with her husband, Jack (Heard). Adrienne is content with her life until one day when Jack suddenly disappears without a trace. Adrienne is left to pick up the pieces and find out what happened to her husband.
As Adrienne begins to investigate, she discovers that Jack was living a double life and that he had been involved in a shady business deal. She also finds out that Jack had a mistress, a mysterious woman named Lily (Debra Messing).
Adrienne is determined to find out the truth about Jack’s disappearance and she begins to follow Lily, determined to find out what happened to her husband. As she gets closer to the truth, Adrienne discovers that Jack was involved in a dangerous criminal organization and that his disappearance may have been connected to the shady business deal he was involved in.
Adrienne eventually discovers that her husband was murdered and that Lily was involved. With the help of an FBI agent (Ted Levine), Adrienne is able to bring the criminals to justice and find closure in her husband’s death.
