Synopsis – What to Expect from “Dead Presidents”
Dead Presidents is a 1995 American crime drama film directed by the Hughes Brothers. It tells the story of Anthony Curtis, an African-American man from the Bronx who returns from serving in the Vietnam War to find his neighborhood in a state of decline. With no job prospects and a new baby on the way, Anthony turns to a life of crime and joins a gang of robbers led by his friend, Skip.
The gang begins to pull off a series of successful robberies, but soon their luck runs out. When one of their heists goes awry, the gang members are forced to flee and go into hiding. With the police hot on their trail, Anthony and his crew are left with no choice but to plan one final, daring heist to make their escape.
The gang sets their sights on a heavily guarded bank that is rumored to be holding millions of dollars in cash. With the help of a former military comrade, the gang is able to pull off the heist and make their escape. However, the police are still on their tail and the gang is forced to flee to Mexico.
The gang soon finds themselves in a desperate situation as the police close in. With nowhere to turn, Anthony must make a difficult decision – will he risk his life to save his friends or will he run away and save himself?
