Synopsis – What to Expect from “Dead in a Week (Or Your Money Back)”
Dead in a Week (Or Your Money Back) is a darkly comic British film released in 2018. It follows William (Tom Wilkinson), a suicidal man who is desperate to end his life. He contacts Leslie (Aneurin Barnard), a contract killer, to do the job for him. Leslie agrees to the task, but only if William pays him a large sum of money. William then has one week to come up with the money.
The film follows William as he struggles to find a way to come up with the money in the time allotted. He attempts to borrow from his family, but they refuse to help him. He then tries to rob a bank, but fails. He then decides to take on a job as a driver for a drug dealer, but soon finds himself in over his head.
Meanwhile, Leslie is dealing with his own struggles. He has been hired by a mysterious figure to kill an important politician, and he is struggling to go through with it. He is also being pressured by his boss, who is threatening to take away his job if he doesn’t complete the task.
As the week draws to a close, William and Leslie are both in desperate situations. William is out of options and Leslie is trying to find a way out of his contract. In the end, they both find a way to make it through the week, but not without consequences.
