Synopsis – What to Expect from “Dead End”
Dead End is a horror movie released in 2003 about a family who takes a wrong turn down a dark, desolate road and find themselves in a nightmarish situation.
The family consists of the father, Frank, his wife, Laura, and their three children, Emily, Richard, and Jean. One night, they decide to take a shortcut on the way home from a family trip. When they take this shortcut they find themselves on a dark, deserted road.
At first, the family is just a little spooked, but soon they find themselves in a truly terrifying situation. A ghostly figure appears and begins to follow them. As they drive, more and more strange occurrences start to take place. They find themselves in a seemingly endless loop, unable to find their way out.
The family soon realizes that they are being haunted by a malevolent spirit. The ghostly figure is the spirit of a woman who was murdered on the road many years ago. She is now out for revenge against those who wronged her.
The family must find a way to break the curse and escape the road before the ghostly figure can catch up to them. Along the way, they must confront their fears and deep-seated emotions in order to survive.
