Synopsis/Plot
Day of the Dead is a horror film released in 2008, directed by Steve Miner and written by Jeffrey Reddick. It is a remake of the 1985 classic by George A. Romero.
The film follows a group of military personnel and scientists who are stationed at a remote underground military base in the Florida Everglades. As the group begins to experience strange occurrences, they soon discover that they are being overrun by an army of the undead.
The group is led by Captain Rhodes (Ving Rhames), who is determined to protect the base from the zombie onslaught. He is joined by Sarah Bowman (Mena Suvari), a doctor who is trying to find a cure for the zombie virus; John (Nick Cannon), a soldier who is trying to escape the base; and Miguel (Michael Welch), a young soldier who is determined to help his friends survive.
The group soon finds out that the zombie virus is caused by a chemical weapon called Trioxin, which was developed by the military. In order to survive, they must find a way to stop the zombie horde and find a cure.
The film is filled with intense action, suspense, and horror. The special effects and makeup are top-notch
