Synopsis/Plot
Dark City is a 1998 science fiction film directed by Alex Proyas and starring Rufus Sewell, Kiefer Sutherland, Jennifer Connelly, and William Hurt. The film follows John Murdoch, a man who wakes up in a bathtub with no memory of who he is or how he got there. He soon discovers that he is wanted for a series of murders he has no recollection of committing.
As Murdoch attempts to piece together his past, he discovers that he is part of a larger conspiracy involving a group of mysterious beings known as the Strangers, who have the ability to manipulate time and space. The Strangers are attempting to create a perfect world by controlling the minds of the citizens of the city, manipulating their memories and emotions.
Murdoch soon finds himself in a race against time to save the city from the Strangers’ control. With the help of a scientist, Dr. Schreber, and a mysterious woman named Emma, he must uncover the truth behind the Strangers’ plans and find a way to stop them.
