Synopsis – What to Expect from “Damascus Cover”
Damascus Cover is a 2017 action-thriller film directed by Daniel Zelik Berk and starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Olivia Thirlby, and John Hurt.
The film follows Ari Ben-Zion (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), an aging Mossad agent who is sent to Damascus, Syria to smuggle a chemical weapons scientist out of the country. Ari is an experienced agent, but this mission is much more dangerous than any he has undertaken before.
Ari is forced to work with a young, inexperienced agent, Yael (Olivia Thirlby), who is assigned to help him. As they try to complete their mission, they are pursued by Syrian intelligence and a mysterious British agent (John Hurt).
Ari and Yael must use all their skills and experience to evade their pursuers and complete the mission. Along the way, they discover a web of secrets and lies that will challenge everything they thought they knew about their respective countries, and themselves.
The film is a thrilling ride as Ari and Yael battle their enemies and their own inner demons in order to complete the mission. With a stellar cast and a gripping story, Damascus Cover is an action-packed thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
