Synopsis – What to Expect from “Daddy Day Camp”
Daddy Day Camp is an American family comedy film released in 2007. The movie stars Cuba Gooding Jr. as Charlie Hinton, a father who is forced to take over his father’s (Richard Gant) summer camp after it goes out of business.
Charlie and his business partner Phil (Paul Rae) have to face off against the rival camp, Camp Driftwood, run by the wealthy Lance Warner (Lochlyn Munro). To make matters worse, the campers are unruly and Charlie and Phil are completely out of their element.
The two men must learn how to run a successful camp while trying to win the campers over. They enlist the help of their old camp counselor, Bernie (Lance E. Nichols), to help them get the camp back on track.
Charlie and Phil soon realize that they must teach the campers the importance of teamwork and responsibility if they are to win the upcoming camp competition against Camp Driftwood. With the help of Bernie, they come up with a series of fun activities and games to help the campers bond and learn to work together.
However, Camp Driftwood’s Lance is determined to win the competition and will do anything to make sure his camp is victorious. With the competition looming, the campers must come together and prove that Daddy Day Camp can be just as successful as Camp Driftwood.
