John soon finds that he is ill-equipped to handle the responsibility of raising two boys alone. His sons are struggling to cope with the sudden change in their lives and are having difficulty adjusting to their father’s strict parenting style.
In an effort to help his sons, John decides to take a trip to the family’s summer home in the country. While there, he hopes to bond with his sons and help them to cope with the loss of their mother.

Through these interactions, John begins to learn more about his sons and himself. He also begins to understand the importance of love, family, and understanding.
