C.S. Lewis: Dreamer of Narnia is a 2006 biographical drama that follows the life of the beloved children’s author C.S. Lewis. The movie opens with a young Lewis as he is sent away from his beloved home in Ireland to boarding school in England. Despite his loneliness, Lewis finds solace in the world of books and begins to write his own stories.
As Lewis grows older, he is sent to fight in World War I, an experience that changes him forever. After the war, Lewis returns to England and begins teaching at Oxford University. It is here that he meets J.R.R. Tolkien and the two become lifelong friends.
Lewis eventually marries Joy and the two live happily together until her untimely death. Lewis is devastated by her death and begins to write his most famous work, The Chronicles of Narnia. Through his writing, Lewis finds solace in a magical world of talking animals, kings and queens, and evil witches.
