Synopsis/Plot
Cruel Intentions 2 is a 2000 American drama film directed by Roger Kumble and starring Robin Dunne, Sarah Thompson, and Amy Adams. It is a direct-to-video sequel to the 1999 film Cruel Intentions.
The film follows the story of Cassidy Merteuil (Thompson) and Sebastian Valmont (Dunne), the step-siblings of Kathryn Merteuil (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and step-children of Pascal Merteuil (the late John Polson). After the events of the original film, Pascal has died and Kathryn has been sent to a psychiatric hospital. Cassidy and Sebastian have been left to fend for themselves and live with Pascal’s lawyer, Ronald Clifford (Gary Cole).
At Ronald’s suggestion, Cassidy and Sebastian enroll in a prestigious private school in Los Angeles. Sebastian quickly becomes the school’s bad boy, while Cassidy is the popular girl. When the two meet the new student, Cecile Caldwell (Adams), Sebastian sets his sights on her. He begins to manipulate her, using the same tactics as his sister.
Meanwhile, Ronald is trying to keep the siblings out of trouble and away from Kathryn’s influence. He introduces them to his daughter, Nicole
