Synopsis/Plot
Crocodile Dundee is a 1986 Australian comedy film set in the Australian Outback and in New York City. It tells the story of Michael J. “Crocodile” Dundee (Paul Hogan), an Australian bushman who travels to New York City with his trusted friend and mentor Walter Reilly (John Meillon).
The film begins with an American journalist, Sue Charlton (Linda Kozlowski), on assignment in the Australian Outback. She hears about the legendary Mick Dundee and decides to go in search of him. She finds him in the Outback, and he shows her the wonders of his world.
Meanwhile, Sue’s boss in New York is eager to get the story of the mysterious Crocodile Dundee. He sends her to Australia to get the scoop, and she brings Mick back with her.
In New York, Mick is amazed by the hustle and bustle of the city and its people. He quickly learns to adapt to the new environment, but his old-fashioned ways and lack of city savvy often get him into trouble. He also meets a beautiful woman named Linda (Linda Kozlowski) and the two of them soon fall in love.
