Synopsis/Plot
Crimson Peak is a 2015 supernatural gothic romance horror film directed, co-produced, and co-written by Guillermo del Toro. The film stars Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, and Charlie Hunnam.
The story follows Edith Cushing, a young aspiring author, who falls in love with the mysterious and handsome Sir Thomas Sharpe. After a series of strange and supernatural events, Edith is invited to move into Sharpe’s ancestral home, Allerdale Hall. Upon arriving, Edith discovers that the home is haunted by ghosts and is slowly being swallowed by the red clay that surrounds it.
As she explores the home, Edith discovers that the Sharpe’s have a dark and tragic past that is slowly revealed to her. She also discovers that her new husband has a sinister agenda and is conspiring with his sister, Lucille, to gain control of her inheritance.
As Edith delves deeper into the secrets of Allerdale Hall, she discovers that the house is filled with secrets and horrors that she must face in order to survive. She must battle the ghosts of the past and confront the evil forces that lurk
