Synopsis/Plot
Creed is a 2015 American sports drama film directed by Ryan Coogler and written by Coogler and Aaron Covington. It is the seventh installment in the Rocky film series, and stars Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Johnson Creed, Apollo Creed’s son, with Sylvester Stallone reprising his role as Rocky Balboa. The film also features Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Tony Bellew, and Graham McTavish.
The film follows Adonis Johnson, the son of the late former heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, who seeks to follow in his father’s footsteps by becoming a professional boxer. With the help of Rocky Balboa, Adonis trains and enters the world of professionalboxing, where he must face off against the son of Ivan Drago, the powerful athlete who killed his father in the ring.
Creed was released in the United States on November 25, 2015, to critical acclaim and has grossed over $173 million worldwide.
