Synopsis – What to Expect from “Counterpunch”
Counterpunch is a 2017 drama film directed by Kenneth Castillo and written by Kenneth Castillo and Jay Santiago. It stars Manny Perez, Steven Bauer, and Lou Diamond Phillips.
The film follows three Cuban boxers, Carlos (Manny Perez), Ernesto (Steven Bauer), and Alejandro (Lou Diamond Phillips), who are all struggling to make their way in the world of professional boxing. Carlos is a successful boxer, but his dreams of making it to the top are put on hold when his father dies. Ernesto is a former champion who is trying to make a comeback, but his troubled past keeps him from achieving his goals.
