Synopsis/Plot
Copycat is a 1995 psychological thriller starring Sigourney Weaver, Holly Hunter, and Dermot Mulroney. It follows the story of Dr. Helen Hudson (Weaver), a renowned criminal psychologist who is targeted by a serial killer known as the Copycat Killer. After a traumatic experience with the killer, Helen becomes agoraphobic and is unable to leave her apartment. She is aided by a police detective, M.J. Monahan (Hunter), who is determined to catch the Copycat Killer and bring him to justice.
The Copycat Killer has been murdering people in the same style as famous serial killers, and it is up to Helen and M.J. to figure out who he is and why he is doing this. As the investigation progresses, Helen and M.J. come to realize that the killer is a copycat of a famous serial killer from Helen’s past. The killer has been targeting her and is sending her cryptic messages, taunting her and challenging her to solve the case.
The movie is filled with suspense and tension as Helen and M.J. attempt to unravel the mystery. They must work together to uncover clues and piece together the killer’s identity before he can strike again
