Synopsis – What to Expect from “Cool as Ice”
Cool as Ice is a 1991 American romantic musical drama film starring Vanilla Ice in his feature film debut. The film follows Johnny, a freewheeling, motorcycle-riding rapper, who rolls into a small town with his posse and immediately catches the eye of the local pastor’s daughter, Kathy.
The movie opens with Johnny and his posse riding into a small town. Johnny is immediately attracted to the local pastor’s daughter, Kathy, and decides to stay in town for a while. He and his posse throw a wild party at a local club, much to the chagrin of the townspeople. Kathy’s father disapproves of Johnny and his wild ways, and Kathy is torn between her loyalty to her father and her growing attraction to Johnny.
Kathy and Johnny continue to spend time together, and Johnny begins to open up to her about his troubled past. He reveals that he ran away from home when he was younger and has been living a nomadic lifestyle ever since. Kathy begins to understand Johnny and develops feelings for him.
Meanwhile, Kathy’s father is determined to keep them apart and hires a shady private investigator to dig into Johnny’s past. The investigator discovers that Johnny is actually the son of a wealthy family, but his father abandoned him when he was young.
