Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen follows the story of Lola Cep, a 15-year-old girl who has been uprooted from her life in New York City and transplanted to the suburbs of Dellwood, New Jersey. Lola is a drama queen at heart, and she is determined to make the best of her new situation.
When Lola arrives at Dellwood High, she immediately clashes with the most popular girl in school, Carla Santini. Carla is the leader of the “Flawless Four”, a group of popular girls who are always at the center of attention. Lola is determined to join their group, but Carla is determined to keep her out.
Meanwhile, Lola meets Sam, a fellow outcast who shares her love of the arts. Sam and Lola become fast friends and start a rock band together. As their friendship grows, so does their band’s popularity.
When the Flawless Four hear about Lola and Sam’s band, they become determined to sabotage their success. In an effort to one-up Lola and Sam, Carla and the Flawless Four decide to put on a show of their own.
