Synopsis/Plot
Come Play is a 2020 horror-thriller film directed by Jacob Chase. The movie follows Oliver, a lonely young boy who is unable to make friends due to his autism. One night he discovers a mysterious creature called Larry through an app on his phone. As time goes on, Oliver realizes that Larry is a supernatural entity who is determined to be his friend.
The creature begins to haunt Oliver and his family, using their technology against them to get closer to the boy. As Oliver’s parents struggle to protect their son from the increasingly dangerous entity, they must also confront their own personal demons.
The movie is a unique blend of horror and drama, with a focus on the struggles of being a parent to a child with autism.
