Synopsis/Plot
Cliffhanger is an action-packed 1993 movie starring Sylvester Stallone as Gabe Walker, a former mountain climber turned search and rescue ranger in the Rocky Mountains. After a failed mission to save his friend Hal Tucker (Michael Rooker) from a deadly fall, Gabe is haunted by guilt and decides to leave his job.
But his plans are derailed when a gang of ruthless criminals, led by the ruthless Eric Qualen (John Lithgow), hijacks a plane carrying $100 million in cash. Qualen and his team parachute into the mountains, leaving the plane to crash and kill all the passengers. Gabe is then recruited to help the FBI and the Treasury Department in their search for the money.
Gabe’s mission takes him on a thrilling adventure as he races against time to find Qualen and his gang. Along the way, he must battle extreme weather conditions, treacherous terrain, and his own inner demons. With the help of his old friend Hal and a spunky female climber, Jessie Deighan (Janine Turner), Gabe must find a way to outwit Qualen and his cohorts and save the money before it’s too late.
