Synopsis/Plot
Click is a 2006 American fantasy comedy film directed by Frank Coraci and written by Steve Koren and Mark O’Keefe. The film stars Adam Sandler as Michael Newman, a workaholic architect who neglects his family. When he acquires a universal remote control that enables him to “fast forward” through unpleasant or mundane parts of his life, he soon discovers that the device has a few glitches.
The film starts off with Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) being a workaholic architect, who is married to Donna (Kate Beckinsale) and has two children, Ben (Joseph Castanon) and Samantha (Tatum McCann). He is constantly trying to please his boss, Mr. Ammer (David HasHasselhoff), and often neglects his family in order to do so. One day, Michael visits a mysterious store and finds a universal remote control that can control his TV, DVD player, and even his life. With the remote, he can fast forward through the boring parts of his life, such as traffic jams and family arguments.
However, the remote starts to malfunction and causes Michael to experience several strange and unexpected events. He soon discovers that the remote is not only making his life easier, but it is also making his life more complicated. As he tries to figure out how to control the remote, he learns some important lessons about life and family. In the end, Michael learns to appreciate the little moments in life and to cherish the time he spends with his family.
