Synopsis – What to Expect from “Cinderfella”
Cinderfella is a classic 1960 musical comedy starring Jerry Lewis as the titular character.
The story follows the beloved fairy tale of Cinderella, but with a twist. Fella is a poor, downtrodden orphan who lives with his two wicked stepbrothers, Rupert and Cecil, and their mean father, Maximilian. Fella is constantly mistreated and abused by his stepfamily, who are determined to keep him from inheriting the family fortune.
Fella’s luck changes when he meets a Fairy Godfather, who grants him three wishes. With the help of his newfound magical powers, Fella is able to transform himself into a handsome prince and attend the royal ball. There, he meets and falls in love with Princess Charmein, the daughter of the King.
Unfortunately, Fella’s stepbrothers find out about his transformation and try to sabotage his plans. They hire a con artist to pose as Fella at the ball and steal the princess away. With the help of his Fairy Godfather, Fella must find a way to save the princess and win her heart.
Full of hilarious hijinks and plenty of musical numbers, Cinderfella is a classic comedy that will have you laughing and singing along.
