Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie’s Island Adventure is a 2003 holiday comedy film starring Randy Quaid as the lovable Cousin Eddie. The film follows the misadventures of the Griswold family as they embark on a tropical vacation.
The movie begins with the Griswold family, Clark (Chevy Chase), Ellen (Beverly D’Angelo), Rusty (Johnny Galecki), and Audrey (Juliette Lewis), preparing for their Christmas vacation. Clark has decided to take the family to a tropical island, but the family soon finds out that it is not the paradise they were expecting.
Upon arriving on the island, the Griswolds discover that Cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) has already taken up residence there. Eddie has been living on the island for months and has made it his own personal paradise. Unfortunately, Eddie’s paradise is threatened by a greedy developer who wants to turn the island into a tourist attraction.
The Griswolds must now join forces with Eddie to save the island from the developer’s plans. The family must also deal with the island’s dangerous wildlife, including giant lizards and a giant boa constrictor.
