Synopsis/Plot
Christine is a 1983 American supernatural horror film directed by John Carpenter and starring Keith Gordon, John Stockwell, Alexandra Paul, and Harry Dean Stanton. The film follows a nerdy high school student, Arnie Cunningham (Gordon), who purchases a dilapidated 1958 Plymouth Fury, which he names Christine. As Arnie begins to restore the car, it begins to take over his life and he slowly transforms into a more confident, aggressive person. However, Christine also has a sinister side, and soon Arnie finds himself in a battle with the car as it begins to terrorize those who wronged him.
The film follows Arnie as he purchases the car from a junkyard, and begins to restore it with the help of his best friend, Dennis Guilder (Stockwell). As Arnie begins to spend more and more time with the car, he begins to take on a more confident personality, and soon he is out on dates with his crush, Leigh Cabot (Paul). However, as Arnie’s relationship with Christine grows stronger, so does her sinister side, and soon Arnie finds himself in a battle with the car as it begins to take revenge on those who wronged him.
