The film follows Falstaff and Prince Hal as they get into all sorts of trouble. They go on drinking binges, get into fights, and generally cause chaos wherever they go. Meanwhile, King Henry IV is struggling to keep his kingdom together, as he is constantly threatened by rebel forces.

After a heated argument, Hal decides to abandon Falstaff and take up his rightful place as the Prince of Wales.
