Synopsis/Plot
Cellular is a 2004 American action-thriller film directed by David R. Ellis and starring Kim Basinger, Chris Evans, and William H. Macy. The plot follows a young man, Ryan (Evans), who is kidnapped and held hostage in an abandoned cell phone tower. He must enlist the help of Jessica Martin (Basinger), a random woman whose cell phone he reaches, in order to save himself and his family from the kidnappers.
The film opens with Ryan being kidnapped and held hostage in an abandoned cell phone tower by a group of criminals. To make matters worse, he discovers that the criminals have also kidnapped his wife and young son. With no way out, Ryan must find a way to contact the outside world for help. He eventually manages to reach Jessica Martin, a random woman whose cell phone he had accessed.
Jessica is initially skeptical of Ryan’s story, but eventually agrees to help him after he pleads with her. She then begins to contact the police and Ryan’s family, while also trying to keep the kidnappers from discovering her involvement. As the story progresses, Jessica and Ryan form a bond as they work together to outsmart the criminals and save
