Synopsis/Plot
Capitalism: A Love Story is an award-winning 2009 documentary film directed, written, produced, and narrated by Michael Moore. The film examines the impact of corporate dominance on the everyday lives of Americans and the consequences of the system of capitalism. It explores the causes of the late-2000s financial crisis and highlights the power of large corporations and the wealthy elite.
The film begins with a discussion of the 2008 financial crisis, which Moore argues was caused by the “greed and irresponsibility” of Wall Street and the government’s failure to regulate the financial sector.
